Why work with me?

In a nutshell, my focus is on doing good work together, supporting collaboration and teaming and career strategies and how to effectively, successfully navigate a working life. I enjoy the challenge of helping others find their own ways to make things work out, as our lives are inevitably buffeted by challenges, achievements, setbacks and all the uncertainties all along the way.

My extensive experience in the business, NfP and household sectors includes

  • Working as a city planner, project manager in real estate development, facilitator, independent consultant, lawyer, secondary school teacher, careers counsellor, law professor, head of discipline, university Dean and author
  • Volunteering with nonprofits in animal welfare, domestic violence, and international development cooperation
  • Writing books and articles about a wide range of topics.

Plus, I have lots of professional qualifications. Here are some of my bona fides…

  • Doctor of Philosophy, Bond University, Gold Coast, Australia
  • Mediator Training, Bond University Dispute Resolution Centre, Gold Coast, Australia
  • Certificate in Negotiation, Harvard Law School, Program on Negotiation, Cambridge, Massachusetts
  • Juris Doctor, University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona
  • Advanced Facilitation Training, Interaction Associates, Denver, Colorado
  • Master of Community & Regional Planning, The University of Texas at Austin, Austin, Texas
  • Bachelor of Science, Environmental Studies and Biology, Trinity College, Connecticut

Like many people, throughout my life, I had to reinvent myself many times.

And while endings are rarely easy, endings do imply beginnings.

It’s messy stuff, but it’s stuff we can only do together.

I look forward to hearing from you.
